The Ten Tenors – Tribute To The Heroes On their new album „Here´s To The Heroes” the tenors are musically focusing on “Heroes” in every way. The repertoire of the world-famous Australian singers goes from compositions of classical highlights of the opera (e.g. Rossini) over soundtracks from James Bond and Gladiator to Rock and Disco classics (e.g. Queen). Regarding this wide variety of songs every single of the ten amazing singers shows an incredible level of vocal flexibility. The concert recording and the DVD production was a co-operation with Warner Music and the NDR TV. Together with producer Michael Soltau, Syrinx realized the audio recording and audio postproduction in surround sound. For the Tonmeister Marcus Herzog this production was a very special task: How can one create a harmonic sound environment with ten soloists, a band and a big orchestra? Especially when following „Nessun´ dorma“ by Puccini you can hear „Stayin´ alive“ by the Bee Gees? Before their tour through Germany in spring 2007 the NDR showed a TV special in October 2006. This special was based on the stereo video production from the concerts in the Hamburg “Schauspielhaus”. The complete concerts on DVD including amazing surround sound will be world-wide distributed by Warner Music. |
