Little Amadeus – Syrinx composes and synchronizes the awarded animated series
Since January 2006 the adventures of the young Mozart are broadcasted on the German children
channel KI.KA and on other European TV stations. The Filmbewertungsstelle Wiesbaden (responsible
for quality evaluation of movies and TV) awarded the animation series with the seal „valuable“
in April 2006.
The first season reached quotas up to 26,7 percent of the three to thirteen year old children.
For the KI.KA as well as for the producers and the production team this quota was an outstanding
result. Based on this it is expected to reach even better results for the second season which
was finalized in fall 2006.
From the beginning the Syrinx team was highly involved in the production process. The complete
sound design and synchronization of an animated series was a new challenge for Syrinx which
the team gladly took on.
The modern and innovative technical infrastructure of the Syrinx studios was the basis for
finishing the first 13 episodes on time for the TV release. For example, all of the audio
and video data can be accessed from every studio in every working process of the postproduction.
Therefore the whole sound production could be managed highly efficient, parallel and interlocking.
Also the DVD special edition for the 250th birthday of W. A. Mozart with six episodes of the
animated series was produced by Syrinx. Because this DVD received the „Echo Klassik 2006“
in the category „classics for children“, Syrinx is especially proud to have a part in the
production.
Syrinx is also responsible for the production of the DVD box for the first season of „Little
Amadeus“ as well as for the radio plays realized in co-operation with Gateway4M.
